Our Excavating company was started by David Matson in 1979 and has grown from a one man crew to a team of amazing employees! David worked hard for many years creating a legacy for not only his family but for his community as well. In 2016 his sons Travis and Ben Matson bought out their father. Over many years they continued to grow D&D, as well as doing Commercial Real Estate Developing on the side. Travis and Ben decided it was time to close their chapter with D&D and pass on the opportunity to two long time employees. In 2025 Duane Matson and Nate Riikonen bought the company from Duane’s brothers Travis and Ben. They are grateful to continue to grow D&D specializing in, new construction, septic systems, sewer lines, water lines, dump trucking, civil site development, road building, and all your excavation needs. With our amazing well experienced team, Duane & Nate look forward to continuing the relationships that have grown over the years with our great clients and trade partners!

A fun fact, David Matson still enjoys spending his time working at D&D driving a dump truck when he can. During the winter months he enjoys spending time with his dear wife DeAnne, traveling and spending time in Arizona.
